Cogeneration Efficiency
Calculation Notes:
1. Make-up water enthalpy = Temperature + 1 kcal/kg.
2. Return condensate enthalpy = Temperature + 1 kcal/kg.
3. Process steam pressure is entered as Gauge pressure.
4. Atmospheric pressure of approximately 1.033 kg/cm² is added to gauge pressure to obtain absolute pressure.
5. All flow rates are considered in MT/hr.
6. Cogeneration heat rate is expressed in kcal/kWh.
7. Cogeneration efficiency = 860 × 100 ÷ Cogeneration Heat Rate.
